Vigna Dogarina is an example of experience in the Veneto region, both for its 50+ years of history but in particular for the constant attention and care of the territory, making use of modern photovoltaic systems with consequent low environmental impact, and also for the wine-growing innovations in the cultivation area. Equipped with the most innovative agronomic research and production coordination systems, Vigna Dogarina is a brand that fully represents the soul of its interpreters, always devoted to achieving ambitious quality objectives. Moreover, in the last few years Vigna Dogarina has started an important project in collaboration with Pavia University in order to enhance sustainability principles, such as vineyards treatments and water consume reduction.
The 100 hectares of vineyards give birth to wines of absolute thickness, which meet the needs of increasingly demanding international markets and the search for producers who are able to interpret needs and choices of the final consumers.
The Pinot Grigio Venezia DOC that we tasted is an excellence of harmonies enclosed in the linearity of a grape variety that combines modernity and balance, assembled to support the pairing with raw materials of the most careful Italian cuisine.
The color has light copper reflections and the visual impact in the glass conveys a good brilliance which intrigues the consumer. On the nose it is rich in flowers and fresh fruit with yellow flesh, with tropical hints and small spicy notes, but its fresh modernity is found on the palate where good acidity and body / structure balance emerge, with an interesting persistence in the mineral notes. Pinot Grigio Vigna Dogarina is part of a line of wines called "the classics" which contains a large selection of products, with a single common thread and a truly enviable harmony for authenticity and personality.
Vigna Dogarina is situated in Campodipietra, a village nearby Salgareda, and it is surrounded by the greenery of its 100 hectares of vineyards, located between the Carnic Alps and the Venice Lagoon.
Its particular geographic position allows it to fully take advantage of the peculiar climatic conditions of this territory: in these areas, the cold currents that descend from the Carnic Alps meet with the Venice Lagoon mild air, creating significant temperature variations, which are ideal for the synthesis of fragrant, intense, and elegant bouquets.
Well established throughout the national territory, Vigna Dogarina has, over the years, developed its own international dimension, which to date represents about 30% of its turnover.
As of August 2016 the management of Vigna Dogarina was acquired by the Gruppo Vi.V.O. (Viticoltori Veneto Orientale), the most important cooperative group in the eastern Veneto area.
